Natixis Global Asset Management managers also nominated for Fund Manager of the Decade
Morningstar announced today that Natixis Global Asset Management’s (NGAM’s) affiliate Loomis, Sayles & Company has been named Morningstar 2009 Fixed-Income Manager of the Year. The management team is made up of Dan Fuss, Kathleen Gaffney, Matt Eagan and Elaine Stokes. This is the second time the team has won this award – they previously earned the award in 2005 and have also been nominated for Morningstar Fixed-Income Fund Manager of the Decade to be decided next week. Additional fund managers from the NGAM complex were also among the finalists for the Morningstar Domestic-Stock Manager of the Year award (Bill Nygren, Oakmark and Oakmark Select funds) and the Morningstar International-Stock Manager of the Year award (David Herro, Oakmark International and Oakmark International Small Cap funds), marking NGAM’s presence in each available category. Additionally, David Herro has also been nominated for the Morningstar International-Stock Fund Manager of the Decade award.“Congratulations to the four Loomis Sayles portfolio managers and to all of those on their fixedincome research and trading teams who helped make this possible. We thank them for their incredible dedication to their investment strategy and shareholders. Congratulations also to the Oakmark teams for their continued excellence,” said John Hailer, president and chief executive officer – U.S. and Asia, Natixis Global Asset Management. “This award and the nominations of Oakmark fund managers illustrate the power of our multi-boutique structure. We are the only asset management firm that received nominations in all three Morningstar categories – fixed-income, domestic stocks and international stocks. These nominations validate the strengths of Natixis Global Asset Management, including product diversity and access to some of the highest-ranked managers in the industry.”
